SCAR CULTURE Solidify New Vocalist, Commence Work On New Album
September 29, 2003After a long and grueling search, the Brooklyn-based quartet SCAR CULTURE have solidified a new vocalist. Their new frontman, Roman Garbacik, has the vocal range, intensity and commanding presence that the band have been so actively searching for over the past year. The group have already commenced the songwriting process for their sophomore album, with plans to have it ready for a summer 2004 release. After touring extensively for their debut album, Inscribe, they are eagerly anticipating getting back out on the road to annihilate audiences with their revamped lineup.
John Conley (guitars) further describes his excitement over their newest member: "After many, many months of auditions, we have found the person we feel can properly handle the older material and offer a lot more to the new stuff. His name is Roman Garbacik. He hails from Connecticut and formerly tore up most of New England with 8 TRAK MIND and MOURN MAKES MOVEMENT. With him on board the writing for the next CD is in full swing. Again, thank you all for your patience throughout most of 2003.Things are only getting started."
The group will debut their new lineup at Fat Cat's in Springfield, Ma. on November 9 and are scheduled to perform at the New Jersey Metalfest on November 14/15.
